Welcome to Destination Car Care ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services, including but not limited to auto detailing, windshield stone chip repair, auto glass services, headlight restoration, sunroof repairs, CO2/chlorine dioxide sanitation, and related automotive care (collectively, the "Services"). By booking, scheduling, or receiving any Services from us, you ("you" or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms.
We are a locally owned and operated business based in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada, providing mobile and on-site services in the Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas (including Leamington).
1. Services Provided
We offer professional automotive care services as described on our website (www.destinationcarcare.ca). Services are performed using professional-grade products and equipment. Mobile services are weather-dependent and provided season/weather permitting. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel due to unsafe conditions (e.g., heavy rain, extreme cold, or other factors) without penalty, and we will work with you to find a suitable alternative time.
2. Booking and Appointments
Bookings can be made online via our website or by contacting us. Upon booking, we will confirm your appointment and send an invoice or estimate where required. Appointments are reserved exclusively for you, and we may turn away other clients during that time slot.
For certain repairs (e.g., auto glass or sunroof), we may provide a written estimate in advance as required by Ontario law. Final charges will not exceed the estimate unless you provide additional authorization.
3. Payment Terms
This invoice is due when your service is completed.
- E-Transfers can be sent to info@destinationcarcare.ca
- Debit & Credit Card payments accepted. Mobile card reader available.
- Online options for Credit Card, VisaDebit and PayPal through this invoice.
- If paying with cash please note we carry very limited change.
- Cancellation of appointments and services please provide notice (12h).
A receipt will be issued to your email regardless of how you decide to make payment.
We reserve the right to require a deposit for certain bookings (e.g., larger jobs or mobile services) to secure your appointment. Any deposit will be applied to the final balance.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We require at least 12 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- If less than 12 hours' notice is provided (or no-show), we may charge a fee up to 50% of the service cost to reschedule in cases of repeated issues, as this reserves time exclusively for you.
- For weather-related issues on our end (e.g., unsafe conditions for mobile services), we will reschedule at no charge.
- Same-day changes may not always be possible due to scheduling.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
We stand behind our work:
- Auto Glass Repairs (e.g., stone chip repairs): Satisfaction guarantee. If the repair fails under normal use within a year, we will credit the full cost toward a windshield replacement (subject to inspection).
- Full Auto Glass Installations/Replacements: Auto glass replacements January 1 2026 and later.
- Workmanship and installation defects (including leaks, wind noise, improper sealing, and stress cracks from installation) are covered under our Limited Lifetime Warranty for as long as you own or lease the vehicle (non-transferable).
- Glass and component manufacturing defects (e.g., visible distortion or delamination not caused by external factors) are covered for 90 days from installation.
- Full details, including covered items, exclusions (e.g., external damage, pre-existing vehicle issues, consequential losses), and claims process, are outlined in our Auto Glass Limited Lifetime Warranty document.
- New Windshield Installations - Windshields installed January 1 2025 and later, will receive a complimentary stone chip repair for the vehicle.
- Detailing and Restoration Services (e.g., headlight, paint correction) are guaranteed for workmanship, but results depend on vehicle condition (e.g., severe damage may limit outcomes).
- For parts/labor on Repairs, we provide the minimum warranty required under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act (90 days or 5,000 km, whichever comes first, on new/reconditioned parts and installation labor).
We do not guarantee results against pre-existing conditions, misuse, or normal wear. No warranty applies to customer-supplied products or if the vehicle is used commercially without disclosure.
6. Limitations of Liability and Disclaimers
- We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle (please remove valuables before service).
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, defects, or issues not caused by our Services.
- Mobile services are performed at your location; you must provide safe access, vehicle keys, and a suitable workspace. We are not liable for damage arising from unsafe conditions at your site.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific Service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (e.g., loss of use, rental car costs).
- Services are provided "as is" based on our professional judgment; results vary by vehicle condition. Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal.
- Parking at District425: When dropping off or leaving your vehicle at our base (District425, 425 Park Avenue West, Chatham) for service, the lot is shared, secured, and monitored by camera surveillance for safety. Vehicles are parked at your own risk—we are not responsible or liable for any damage, theft, vandalism, weather-related issues, or other incidents occurring to vehicles in the parking lot before, during, or after service.
7. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your vehicle (make, model, condition, any known issues).
- Ensure the vehicle is accessible and safe for service.
- Disclose any hazardous materials (e.g., biohazards, extreme soiling) that may require extra fees or affect service.
- Participate in a final walk-around inspection upon completion.
8. Privacy
We collect personal information (e.g., name, contact, vehicle details) solely to provide Services, send invoices/receipts, and communicate. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We do not sell your data.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Chatham-Kent, Ontario. We encourage informal resolution first—contact us at info@destinationcarcare.ca.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
By booking or receiving Services, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
